Introductions: Rush Chair

Hello Friends!
My name is Cara Pratt and I am the Rush Chair! I hail from the great city of Kenosha, WI (The 4th Largest City in Wisconsin!!!!). I am a first-year Environmental Policy, International Relations, and Environmental Science major. I joined last fall, reppin' the Xi Krenek pledge class...woot. Basically, I think APO is the coolest thing ever - great service. great people. I am also involved in Crawford's EC as Co-Environmental Chair, DEAL, and some other great stuff. :)

Introductions: Sarah Tucker - Membership & Alumni VP

Hey everyone!
My name is Sarah and I am the Membership & Alumni VP of 2009. This is my third semester of APO and it is one of my favorite things about being here at Drake. I pledged spring semester of 2008 so I was part of the Nu Barasch pledge class. I am SO excited to be a part of EC this year and can't wait for all the fun things to come! A little bit about my life outside of APO...I'm from Hoffman Estates, IL and came to Drake to be a secondary education and mathematics double major. I'm really excited about teaching high school. I am currently a sophomore, am also involved in DEA and U.G.A.N.D.A Youth, and I work at the bookstore.
I can't wait to become closer with the chapter and get to know all the new pledges
:]
LFS,
Sarah

Introductions: Becca Lee - Treasurer

Hey there!
My name is Becca, and I am treasurer for the Omega chapter for 2009. I am a junior English and Secondary Education double major from Kansas City, MO. I didn't pledge until last fall, but now that I'm involved I am so glad to be a part of something so great. I love the service we do, and being around others who are excited to do some good in the world. Joining has definitely been one of the best things I've done since I came to Drake - it's awesome! Anyway, I look forward to everything we have planned for the spring and getting to know our new pledges! It's going to be a great semester!
LFS,
Becca

Five reasons to go to Boston
In December, APO had its national convention in Boston. Each chapter was invited to make a short video about themselves which was showed during the "roll call" portion of the opening banquet. Check out the video we made!

Introductions: Meagan Savage - President

Hey, everybody!
I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Meagan Savage, I'm a junior magazine major and I'm the chapter president. I previously served as the chapter secretary and service vice presidnet. I pledged APO in the Spring of 2007 when I was a freshman (so this is my fifth semester in the chapter) and have absolutely loved being involved with it. My favorite part about being in the chapter is getting out in the community and doing service. Especially when I was a freshman, it was a great way to get out in the surrounding area when I didn't have a car, spend time with my fellow brothers, and help members of the community. To this day I still love doing service. Some of my favorite service events I've done are Habitat for Humanity, Jolly Holiday Lights (benefiting Make-A-Wish), Kids Fest, and Night Eyes at the Blank Park Zoo. I'm kind of the main blog moderator type of person, but you'll be able to hear from plenty of other brothers about who we are and what we do. We'll also be sure to post pictures.
Thanks for reading!
Meagan
